Training at Edify Fitness focuses on finding what type of workouts will not only provide you the best results but finding the style that you actually enjoy. Not everyone loves to run. Not everyone loves to lift weights. At Edify Fitness, we focus on full body training (hitting major muscle groups every workout with an emphasis on whatever area may need extra attention) with a specialized program, that takes into consideration your strengths, weakness, and current needs. When you commit to making a change to your body, it does not come without making changes to your current routine. Getting the results you want will be hard work, but with us guiding the process your success is inevitable.


Nutrition

Everyone loves to eat. Everyone loves to eat different things. Everyone’s body responds differently. The best diet is one that considers what you are currently eating and doing physically, and then basing a plan around your personal needs and wants.

At Edify Fitness, we do not take a blanket approach, we look at your current strategy and assess your nutritional needs along with your dietary desires. We want you to meet your fitness and health goals without sacrificing the foods you love...and avoiding those nasty plateaus. Most of us have experienced that last few pounds...as your body adjusts, so does your dietary needs. Everything we will do together will be specific to you and only you. This is what a personalized approach gives you. Optimal results for you.


Injury Prevention - Pre and Post Rehab

Sometimes you’re not quite hurt but there is a nagging feeling of something being off. This is where injury prevention and or pre rehab services come in. It might be as little as shoulder soreness every now and then after lifting. Or possibly that there is a growing list of exercises that bother you. Training and exercising should leave you feeling better not worse. With specific injury prevention services tailored to find your movement flaw, Edify Fitness will get you feeling better than ever during and after every movement.

Pre-rehabilitative services are also targeted exercise sessions meant to help you overcome physical limitations. They may be ordered before you go into an elective surgery or other medical procedure. We can help you gain a full range of motion or prepare your body for the stress of your upcoming procedure. If you go in strong, you’ll come out strong, and recovery will be a breeze. Or they could be used in order to avoid an optional surgery. Depending on your future needs, a torn meniscus or other ligament and joint issues may not need surgery and surgery can be fully avoided with the right training. Injuries heal but even after you’ve recovered, your post-injury body is not the same as it was before you took the hit. Your muscles are out of training; they’ve forgotten how to do the simplest routines that used to be second nature. Your nerve endings are raw. And more likely than not you’re saddled by a list of mechanisms your body has created to help protect the fragile just-barely-healed injury site and keep you from landing back on the shelf again.

Just because you’re not where you’d like to be is no reason to skip the gym. In fact, intentional exercise is more crucial than ever when you’re post injury or have specific problem areas. But a simple membership to a fitness center will not help you much. With proper training, you avoid making the injury worse and immediately begin recovery. What you need is a program that takes into account your new weaknesses and works around them, targeting them in a careful and methodical way that eliminates stress and eventually brings you where you want to be; ready to engage in any mainstream training program.
